PRODUCT INFORMATION
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GOLD FILLED VS AVERAGE GOLD PLATED?

Here at Au Jewellers, our products should Not be confused with regular gold plating, our gold pieces are bonded and dipped in a thick layer of 9ct gold (6mills) on stainless steel and other environment friendly materials which are highly resistant to rust, corrosion and tarnishing.

Our 9ct gold bonded pieces give you the real look & feel of gold jewellery at a fraction of the price.

We only work with the best quality and most durable materials. We recommend not getting your jewellery wet. Like all quality metals, to maintain lasting shine and durability you will want to keep away from harsh chemicals like previously stated.

We recommend you dry your products as soon as possible by using a cloth towel after getting wet.

Our pieces are made to withstand against tarnishing. To maintain your pieces - please dry with a cloth towel after getting wet. Always remove your jewellery when applying colognes, perfumes or other chemical products. Chlorine at hot temperatures, can permanently damage of discolour your gold jewellery. Gently clean your pieces with a soft polishing cloth.

Refund & Returns Policy

Thank you for your purchase. We hope you're happy with your order. If you're not, this policy explains your rights and how to return an item.

We operate online only, so your purchase is covered by the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (your right to change your mind) and the Consumer Rights Act 2015 (your rights if something is faulty). Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Your right to cancel (change of mind)

Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have the right to cancel your order without giving any reason.

You can cancel from the moment you place your order up until 14 days after the day you receive your goods. To cancel, simply let us know within that period by emailing help@au-jewellers.com — a clear statement that you wish to cancel is enough. We will then send you the Returns Form.

Once you've told us you're cancelling, you then have a further 7 days to send the item(s) back to us.

Condition of returned items

You're entitled to handle and inspect your jewellery just as you would in a shop before buying — for example, trying an item on to check size, look and fit.

If you handle items more than is necessary to check their nature, characteristics and how they work, and this reduces their value, we may make a proportionate deduction from your refund to reflect that loss in value.

To help us process your return smoothly, we'd appreciate items being returned in their original jewellery box and packaging.

Items exempt from the change-of-mind right

The following are exempt from the 14-day cancellation right, unless they are faulty or not as described:

  • Custom or personalised orders made to your specification.
  • Earrings and other hygiene-sealed items once the hygiene seal has been broken. If the seal is intact, they can still be returned.

Refunds when you cancel

Once we receive your returned item (or proof that you've sent it back), we will refund you The full price of the item(s)

We aim to refund within 3 working days of receiving your return, and in any event within 14 days. Refunds are made to your original payment method.

Return postage

You are responsible for the cost of return postage. We HIGHLY recommend using a Royal Mail tracked service and keeping proof of postage (Tracking number), as we cannot process a refund until the item reaches us or you can evidence it was sent.

Faulty, damaged or misdescribed items

If your item is faulty, damaged, or not as described, please contact help@au-jewellers.com. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015:

  • If you let us know within 14 days of receiving the item, you have the right to reject it for a full refund.

These rights apply regardless of any other term in this policy, including to promotional and exchanged items.

Exchanges

We're happy to offer one exchange per order, subject to availability, as a goodwill service.

Promotional items (e.g. Buy One Get One Free)

As a goodwill matter, items bought as part of our Buy 1 Get 1 Free promotion can be exchanged or refunded as store credit. This does not limit your statutory rights: if you wish to cancel your order before we ship, you're entitled to a cash refund to your original payment method, and if an item is faulty or misdescribed you're entitled to a repair / replacement or Store Credit

How to return an item

  1. Email help@au-jewellers.com to tell us you'd like to return or cancel.
  2. We'll confirm the return address and send you a returns form.
  3. Please include your order number, contact details and returns form with your parcel so we can identify your return.
  4. Send the item back within 14 days of telling us. We recommend a tracked service (Royal Mail)
