Every kids size shows the age it suits, so you are not guessing. Ages are a guide and every child is different: if they are tall for their age or between sizes, go for the next size up.

Chains

Most kids chains come in 20" and 24" lengths.

Kids rings come in sizes R to W, which suit ages 13 to 15. Smaller sizes are to follow. It is always better to go 1 size up, as a slightly bigger ring can be made tighter with tape wrapped around the inside of the band, but a ring that is too small cannot be worn.

Rings with thicker bands, such as the 5 row keeper ring, fit tighter, so we recommend going 1 size up.

Earrings and Pendants

Earrings and pendants are one size and suit ages 9 to 15. Pendants sold on their own fit any of our kids chains.

How to Measure

Neck: wrap a piece of string around the base of the neck, mark where it meets and measure it flat against a ruler. Add about 2" (5cm) for a comfortable fit, then choose the nearest length above.

Wrist: measure around the wrist just above the wrist bone and add about 0.5" to 1" (1 to 2.5cm) so the bracelet sits comfortably.

Ring: measure the inside diameter of a ring that already fits the finger and match it to the Inner Diameter column above. If you are between sizes, go 1 size up.

The Kids 10mm Tulip Chain in white gold. Same patterned link the yellow tulip built its name on, finished in a cool bright white that sits closer to platinum than silver and does not wash out under camera flash.

Every link is individually patterned rather than stamped flat, so the chain catches light along its whole length instead of only at the front. At roughly 75 grams it carries real weight on the neck, which is the part most white metal chains at this price get wrong.

It fastens with the AU Jewellers patterned Albert clasp. The clasp latches onto any link, so a 24" can be worn shorter and sit tight to the collar. One chain, several lengths.
